Sell Your House with a Good Bed

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

There are many ways to make your home inviting to potential buyers. But top of the list is to make sure the bed looks comfortable and relaxing.

Big is best when it comes to beds, but don’t go overboard, your bed needs to appear to fill the room with ease. Give your bed plenty of space and don’t surround it with clutter as this will put people off.

Dress the bed in beautiful thick, plush pillows, duvets and throws for best effect. Then surround it with choice bits of furniture like bedside tables and lamps.

If you have an en-suite, make this look inviting too by dressing it with candles and nice, clean, fluffy towels.

The Big Decision, Latex or Memory?

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Both memory foam and latex foam offer a premium solution for your Pocket Spring Bed. But what is the difference and which one is right for you?

The Feeling

Comfort is very subjective and what feels great for one person might not suit another. This is why we would always advise that you find your nearest stockist and try the beds for yourself.

Memory foam moulds to your body as it warms up relieving pressure points and providing unbeatable support from head to toe.

Innergetic® Latex has more bounce. Whilst it also offers exceptional support, the feeling is more floaty.

Origin of Materials

Memory foam was developed originally developed to absorb impact on spacecraft. Which is why it’s so great at absorbing all your pressure points as you lay on the bed.

Latex originates from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree, it is processed and air bubbles are added to give it some bounce and allow air to circulate. As an added bonus, Latex is naturally hypoallergenic.

Price

Traditionally, premium memory foam would be more expensive than latex, but as a result of our commitment to responsibly maintain the earths forests, the price of latex now equals and in some cases exceeds the price of memory foam.

Whichever you choose, you can be sure to trust in a Pocket Spring Company Bed for years of sumptuous, indulgent sleep.

Behind the Scenes, Photoshoot

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Early one morning vans start arriving at a beautiful Art Deco house in the heart of Nottingham. Passers by would be excused for assuming somebody is moving house as various beds, mattresses and other items of furniture are transferred into the house.

It is in fact day one of Pocket Spring Bed Company’s photoshoot in honour of this very website.

Once the first bed is in place. Our stylist, Vicky gets to work furnishing it with carefully selected props.

The photographer, Moy, and his assistant, Chris, prepare the lights and camera. It takes several shots and a lot of careful planning as well as an experienced team to get shots worthy of this beautiful range.
